UPDATE: 24-8-2010: Corrected teeth position so the cutscenes look better, specially if you are using the mor as Alistair(or any human male) replacement.Included the mor with the hair files and mop in one file.
This is my attempt to create GARRET HAWKE, the default protagonist of the upcoming Dragon Age 2, as seen in the New Dragon Age 2 Cinematic Trailer. I wish there was a good beard in origins that could be used, but sadly there isn't any that do not horribly mess up the jaw proportions and hide a big part of the face. So I tried using dark stubble to make up for it. The hair used is not available universally so I've included it in the download.
Installation:
Extract the .zip file and export the .mop file and the hair texture folder to your MyDocuments/BioWare/DragonAge/packages/core/override folder.
Make sure there are no conflicting chargenmorphcfg.xml files. if there are any, use the excellent CharGenMorph Compilermod.
KNOWN ISSUES:
If for whatever reason you cannot use the chargenmorph compiler, rename the mop file to hm_cps_p01.mop so that it replaces the 1st default preset instead. It will replace the first human preset in the character creator, but if you also use my pretty presets mod, 3 faces are added before the default faces so you'll find the hawke preset in the 4th slot. If you already use some other mod that replaces all 8 default faces (look for files in the override folder named hm_cps_pXX.mop,where XX is 01-08) delete one of them and rename my preset in their place. In this case you cannot use the nero hair in CC.
However if you're willing to edit the chargen file of the conflicting mod manually, you can get both the preset as non-replacer and the hair. You don't need rename anything in this case.Open up the chargenmorphcfg.xml with wordpad:
1st, under the
2nd,under the
save, and you're good to go!
Uninstallation: Just delete the .mop and chargenmorphcfg.xml from the override folder. this will also remove the option to use Nero hair from Character Creator, so if you still want to use the hair in CC, don't delete the chargenmorphcfg.xml, and opening it remove the line
Done! :D
Mods used:
Eyebrow presets
Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors
CREDIT:The hair file does not belong to me, it is from a mod that is no longer available in Nexus. It was made by the awesome raughnut , who took it down for personal reasons and has given me the permission to use his files, so All hail his greatness!
