A multiple gametype map for the Call of Duty 4 game.

First version made for COD, then CODuo and COD2, revisited for COD4
With the conceptual participation and texture of *WarLord(MTL)*

****************** How to install ******************

~ Server Side :: First things first ~

In your COD4 server directory, Be sure having a usermaps folder
beside - Docs-Main-Miles-Mods-pb-players-zone folders
If not, just create one

Inside the usemaps folder, create a folder mp_mtl_the_rock
Extract mp_mtl_the_rock.ff and mp_mtl_the_rock_load.ff and put them in. Do the exact same things at your redirect location.

This may change in a near future but at release date .......
Extract the mp_mtl_the_rock.iwd and put it in your mods folder
cod4/mods/name of the MOD
(mod directory that you intend to run the map in)
Ex: cod4/mods/ModWarfare or whatever

Add mp_mtl_the_rock to your maprotation with the gametype you choose
Restart the server

Client Side :: First things first

Be sure having a usermaps folder
in c:/Program Files/Activation/Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare
(Or where ever your game been installed on your computer)
If not, just create one beside - Docs-Main-Miles-Mods-pb-players-zone folders

Create a folder mp_mtl_the_rock and insert the mp_mtl_the_rock.ff and mp_mtl_the_rock_load.ff in it, then add it to the usermaps folder you should already had or just created. in your c:/Program Files/Activation/Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/usermaps

This may change in a near future but at release date .......
Extract the mp_mtl_the_rock.iwd and put it in your Mods folder
c:/Program Files/Activation/Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/mods/xxxx = (name of the MOD) (mod directory that you intend to run the map on)

* The Rock Story *

The Spanish fleet, with Juan de Ayala in 1775, discovered the island that he first called "Isla of los Alcatraces", which means "the island of the pelicans" It finally passed from Mexico to American hand around 1850

US Army build there a fortress at the beginning of the years 1850.
Because of its strategic place, intends making it the most strengthened area of the U.S West coast.

The island was also the first operational site to accomodate a maritime lighthouse on that side of the country.

On March 21, 1907, Alcatraz was officially designated as the Western US Military Prison. The prison role of Alcatraz was of course confirmed in the next century.

From 1909 to 1912, the military prisoners of the island are employed to build the new prison, which is then used at beginning, to lodge the Western branch of the disciplinary American army corps.

Alcatraz island is located in the middle of San Francisco bay, California,
United States.
It lodged a fortress during a few decades,

Finally became a national recreation area in 1972
