This is a collection of interiors I've designed that I've decided to give away. It is first meant to be a modder's resource to be used in mods that "un-board" the houses and buildings in DC. But I've also included a playable version for the players who want to explore these buildings in the game world. Note that the playable version might be incompatible with mods that "un-board" the same house.

Each house I've designed has its own subtle story for the player to discover. (See below for "spoilers" to know what is the background of each house) I've designed 1 ranch, 2 sub-urban houses, 1 shack and 1 apartment building that holds 4 small apartments.

There is also another plugin that adds the Midwich Elementary School from the game Silent Hill 1. I felt that Fallout 3 lacked in the way of accessible schools and decided to design Silent Hill's. Note that it is not complete. The floorplans are there but most of it is empty. I've designed it to look exactly like Silent Hill's by looking at the game's maps for the school.

Finally, I've also included in the package my design documents that I wrote when doing the interiors. It has ideas for interiors, screenshots and reference maps. As a modder, feel free to use them.

What's included :

- 5 houses (1 ranch, 1 shack, 2 sub-urban houses, 1 appartment building)
- Each house has its own story and background.
- Playable and Modder's Ressource version of the houses.
- Midwich Elementary School from Silent Hill 1. Includes two floors and a basement. It s not fully furnished though.
- Design documents. Maps for the Midwich School. Screenshots.

What's NOT included :

- Navmesh for all interiors. I leave it to the modders willing to take the interiors.

2. REQUIREMENTS

You need the latest version of Fallout 3. That's it.

3. INSTALLING THE PLUG-IN

Simply extract all of the .zip's contents to your Fallout 3/Data folder.

4. PLAYING THE PLUG-IN

FOR MODDERS :

Use the esp file "Cliff's_Residences of DC Modder's Version" or the Midwich School file to modify the content.
Every custom item and cells start with the "Cliff" ID prefix.
Feel free to modify the interiors as you wish.

FOR PLAYERS & MODDERS :

In the Fallout 3 Launcher, activate
"Cliff's_Residences Of DC - Player Version.esp" by double-clicking on it if you want to have a look at the houses in-game.
There is a spoilers section below if you want to know the locations of the houses.

To see the Midwich Elemantary school, activate its esp file and when in-game, open the console using the tilde key(~) on your keyboard.

Type COC CliffMidwichFirstFloor to teleport yourself in the school.

5. SAVE GAMES

You do not need to start a new game to see the changes.
The mod will not invalidate your save game.

6. CONFLICTS/KNOWN ERRORS

- Do not bring companions with you. Since the navmesh is not done, your companions will have a hard time navigating in the interiors.

7. LEGAL STUFF/DISCLAIMER

Use this modder's resource as you see fit. It is meant to be used in mods. As long as I'm credited for the interior designs. Distribute this mod as you wish.

8. CHANGELOG

V1.0 : Initial release. Not much to say eh? :P

9. SPOILERS

Refer to this section to know the location of each house and to know the background story behind them :

Ranch :
Location : Can be found in Springvale in front of the school.
Story : A junkie couple and their child took refuge in this shack. It brought the attention of the raiders stationed at the Springvale Elementary School. They broke in the house, killed the family and ran away with the drugs.

Shack :
Location : In Shack Town. A small village northwest of Vault 101 inhabited by normal and hostile ghouls. The shack is near a cliff.
Story : Before the war, this shack was an improvised fallout shelter for a young couple. Altough the bombs didn t hit their area, the couple slowly transformed in feral ghouls and still live in their improvised shelter today.

Appartment Building :
Location : In FairFax. Look for a green apartment building.
Story : Each apartment has its own story. I'll let you find them.

Sub-Urban House 01 :
Location : Minefield.
Story : Although the house has been emptied of most of its valuable goods since the bombs fell, the story of the family who lived there is still intact. Shortly before the bombs, affected Minefield, the family living there celebrated their daughter's birthday. But there was a problem with their Mr. Handy that day. A circuit malfunction made it hostile and it slaughtered the family during the birthday party. The RobCo Mr. Handy terminal can still be accessed to see what happened.

Sub-Urban House 02 :
This house is not finished. I was thinking of adding a survivor who dug the graves of his wife and two kids, killed by raiders.
