Ten new items can now be found in the DC wasteland. These items are advanced versions of the Recon Armor and releated accessories, created by the Commonwelth to help their infiltration units pass unobserved:

1) Advanced Recon Armor : Now has a 75 stealth field when sneaking, with no weapon drawn and stationary. This means you rely on your skill when moving or in combat, but you get the chance to become literally invisible when you stand still, adding a new dimension to the stealth experience.

**HINT** Go into sneak before fast travelling, and you will arrive at your destination with stealth field intact. Same for activating doors/gates. Stop for a second before activating gate and when you enter the new zone, you will be invisible.

Armor has far better stats than normal recon armor (dr35, +10ap), and has a far more muscular and well armored look.

2) Wasteland Adv Recon armor : As above but disguised as a regulator duster.

3) Trenchcoat Adv Recon Armor (x2) : As above but disguised to look like a military trenchcoat. A little smarter than the wasteland version. There are two of these, 1 dark grey, 1 desert tan.

4) Advanced Recon Nightvision (x2): DYNAMIC nighvision that lets you alter the brightness of the nightvision as you play. Just press the nightvision key (default 'n') to increase the brightness in incremental steps.

1st press: Low powered FULL COLOR night vision, use in dim places or cloudy days.
2nd press: Mid powered FULL COLOR night vision, use in badly lit rooms or evenings.
3rd press: Normal powered MONOCHROME(Green) night vision, use in dark rooms / nights.
4rd press: High powered MONOCHROME(Green) night vision, use in very dark rooms / nights.
5th press: Very high powered MONOCHROME(Green) night vision, use in pitch black places / nights (Fellout midnight for example).
6th press: OFF.

5) Advanced Recon Breather (x2): Breath under water and better survive radiation/poison.

The NV and Breather will work with each other and any helm INCLUDING the normal recon helm.

6) An Advanced Recon Helmet that merges the Advanced Recon Nightvision Mk2, the Advanced Recon Breather Mk2 and a Stealth Helm into one powerful item with all the stats and functionality in one package.

7) Advanced Recon Target Acquisition Computer (TAC) : Once installed this small device identifies and marks potential targets on your nightvision HUD, making them far more visible, especially at night. It even marks bodies for you, although sometimes it misses a few.

HINT
----

There is also a rumour that a nefarious character in the DC area may have done business with the Commonwealth and obtained some of their equipment. Aparantly he is no friend of Megaton. (see spoiler locations text file for details)

** even bigger hint ** You can now get the nightvision and breather early in the game.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

** IMPORTANT **

You need FOSE to be running, not just installed. I strongly advise everyone to use the latest version of FOSE and FOMM, and that they run the game from FOMM every time. Doing this will probably fix 99% of the problems people have installing mods. FOMM is your best friend :)

------------------------------------------

Possible flaws:

Ok, one possible flaw: The Mk2 versions of the nightvision and breather may be too narrow if you have a fat head :) Its basically designed to fit the chinese stealth helmet perfectly, which for some reason happens to be thinner than some peoples heads. I can fix this for fat heads, but either it will look funny when worn with chinese stealth helms, or I will need to resize that item too.

Actually the Mk1 nightvision is also too narrow for fat heads, but its less noticable.

PM me if you would like a wider model for those items. Its fairly easy and if there is a demand for it, I will do it.

Locations & console commands: See the "locations - SPOILER.txt" included in the main mod file.

Big thanks to :

daejones : The mesh for the nightvision and breather is thanks to Dae letting me use his face mask and targetting mesh
from his superb Colossus Armor mods. They were absolutely perfect for what I had in mind and he kindly gave me permission
to use them. The nightvision is modified from his original idea, and the textures are altered, but if you like the look
and feel of those items, go visit his many uploads and try out his superb mods.

Nevenbridge81 : I used his Marpat textures he created for the recon armor to better blend it with the Wastelander long coat look.

WJS7744 : His AAIFF mods scripting code was invaluable in getting the Advanced Recon TAC working. I would never have figured out how to do it without using his ideas.

andysutils : For posting some great pictures and giving me the inspiration for my Trenchcoat recon armor.

Kyuushu & Ashangel : For posting pictures

And thanks to everyone who endorsed me, gave encouragement, and especially to those that gave feedback and reported the odd bug.
