What is World of Warcraft like?

Personally I hate WoW... This is coming from someone who has played it on and off since release up until Wrath of The Lich King when I finally quit. In Burning Crusade I had two 70's one of which tier 4 and 5, the other decked out in S2 and some S3 Arena gear. Also a 60 loaded with Tier 1 back when MC was the hotspot. Why do I hate WoW? Because it's not fun, yet it's addictive. Ergo it's a complete waste of time. It wasn't until I actually pre-ordered, got, and installed Wrath of The Lich King that this struck me. The grind... The grind finally made me snap once I dinged my S3 Mage to level 71. I realized, it's just the same boring thing over, and over, and over. WoW is less like a game and more like a chore. Every aspect of WoW is a long boring grind. Even the PvP turned into a grind. I miss the days when WoW first came out before the honor system when there was actual world PvP as opposed to high levels just one shotting low levels and camping them for kicks. There's no fun in battlegrounds, or arena it's just a grind. Tarren Mill and Southshore god I miss those massive raids.

It's fun at first, but before you know it the fun is gone, but you're still playing because it becomes like a chore. Even when I didn't play it often whenever I logged on it felt like well better get the lewts to catch up, I'm an entire Season behind, or with my PvE character EGATS I still have Tier 4 I better grind out Kara as much as possible and get some Tier 5, so I can go to what was it Black Temple? And get Tier 6!

GAHHH not to mention most people playing WoW are IDIOTS! Only like 5 of my guildies Alliance side were worth bothering with, and okay my Horde guild was pretty cool, and my second Mage aka my PvP character was essentially my main. But still I wasted too much time on a game that really isn't all that fun. I've been proudly Warcrack free since November right when WoTLK was released. I played it for a several hours with my Mage dinged 71, and shutdown my account. FREEEDOM!!!

71 Blood Elf Mage (Frost durrr) (PvP)
70 Human Paladin (Healiden) (PvE)
60 Human Mage (Arcane/Frost but I shelved this one) (Pre BC main both PvE and PvP)
59 Undead Rogue (I forgot I changed build a lot subtly I think) (PvP twink)
49 Night Elf Warrior (Fury because it was fun in PvP) (PvP twink)
44 Human Priest (Shadow) (alt) forgot her...

What was the point? PvP I guess was the only fun part of the game, but first came battlegrounds, but still there was some scarce world PvP to be found, then came Arena... Not to mention GEAR! Everything is dependent on your Gear. So you spend all your time gearing so you can put up challenge and have fun, but the thing is the second you get everything you need new season new gear needed.

That's just me though.

I played it for a while,personally I prefer Conan on line myself.

Didn't Conan quite, and Jay Leno took over for him? hehe

What's Conan like in comparison to WOW?

I never played Conan since I've hereby sworn off MMO's but if I am not mistaken female characters can show off their naked breasts. If this is in fact the case that wins a few points for Dez.
