There are eight different attributes in the Morrowind game, which do you consider to be the most important?.
Strength
Affects your total encumbrance, your total Fatigue and the damage done by melee attacks.
Agility
Affects your total Fatigue, damage dealt by ranged weapons, and your steadiness in combat.
Endurance
Affects your total Fatigue as well your starting health and your health gain upon leveling up.
Intelligence
Affects your total magicka.
Willpower
Affects the rate at which magicka regenerates as well as your total Fatigue.
Speed
Affects how fast you move.
Personality
Affects your ability to gain information and better prices from NPCs.
Luck
Affects everything you do in a small way.

Personally these days I go for either WillPower or Intelligence. With a high restoration skill I am able to magically heal myself repeatedly with minimal cost. Willpower comes in handy when resisting magical attacks and poisons.
Any points remaining would be spent on Endurance or Agility, I tend to pick a fighter/cleric type in RPG's.

Agility, it prevents enemies from knocking you down. If you hit ground you'll most likely finish dead.

honesty I don't think there is any one stat that is really important. Endurance boost to health is not retroactive so I usually max that first.
There is no such thing as a stupid question, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots.

For Morrowind? Agility. It governs marksman, block, light armor and sneak. I always play marksman and I always play sneak. I play Morrowind on Xbox so I can't cheat except for the secret masters, the Kajhiit in the small room in Shenk's Shovel and the Creeper, so I don't even leave Caldara (my base) until my sneak is 100. I go shoot the alits and steal and it really gets those skills to level up fast. I loved Morrowind for the sneak. When you are a level 100 sneak (and higher), you really sneak, you aren't detected. When I played Oblivion, even though I was the highest level in sneak (250 I think it was), I would still be detected. So I said screw it, and started playing my horny Xivilai's who really never needed to sneak, they just killed anything and everything they didn't like.
