Wow
Yes I see what you mean, I barely got to the end of that page, I started to fall asleep. When he started talking about mushrooms and lists I kind of lost interest.

Wow thank you Slyther!
I think if I made a popular mod and had to choose between Steam and here I would probably opt for Steam. Steam just gets way more traffic than we do. Perhaps its just my low self esteem. I do plan on adding a whole bunch of new features soon. I am very dis-satisfied with the site in its current state. Too many bugs and discrepancies.

No, I'm afraid I can't take anything from him seriously. Edit: Another reference. http://www.skyrimforge.com/forums/other ... ur-opinion
As far as the topic goes, I chose not to vote, but if I had to choose I suppose I choose the Nexus because I am not forced to use any software (Nexus Mod Manager). The day they make that mandatory is the day I quit using their site.
I went through the content you linked to about Giskard, and I must say that he makes VERY unreasonable demands... Saying someone cannot edit his work is idiocy. The same concept of "I bought the hardware, so why can't I do what I want with it???" applies to software, regardless of whether it was free or not. also, the "Mushroom List" makes no sense, and is downright disrespectful to Bethesda.
Anyways, I tend to prefer the Nexus, as it has far more content, including utilities like Wrye Bash and Boss, hosted on the site. I only use it for downloading mods and giving constructive feedback for them. As for the Steam Workshop, I don't like how you cannot manage the mods themselves, as they are automatically installed upon download. It might be handy for the modder who posted it, as it makes it a lot harder to re-upload them, but from an advanced user's perspective, it is really very annoying. I prefer to not have to re-download a mod all the time. I only use it for content that it Steam Workshop exclusive. I will probably end up putting the mods I make (when I get around to working on them) here, linking them to the Nexus with a preview, or even better, a savegame that is focused on showing off the mod, with the real mod in the content.
@loder
Don't change too much! I love the style of the site! ^^ It's far more beautiful than the Nexus or Steam Workshop. I really hope this site can grab some users from the Nexus and Steam, as the moderators seem very nice so far! Much nicer than the ones on Nexus...
