Sims Fever Need some help here

So I recently got The Sims 3, and while I am enjoying it a lot so far it's still missing a lot being new and all. So I have decided to go back to Sims 2, which used to bring me loads of fun. Problem is I used to have loads of custom content for The Sims 2, now I have very little. I'm scrounging up what I can from what few sites I remember but I lost all the URL's and addons to The Sims 2 when I had to format my old computer last Summer after a virus ravaged it.

So okay I know at least Sluggy digs the Sims. However are there any fellow Simaholics here on the forums that have any suggestions for Sims 2 sites where I can find good custom content? Especially stuff for my boy Sims, because I have a crazy Yaoi thing when it comes to that game, and there's never ever enough guy stuff, mostly girl stuff. Well that's not just with the Sims but any modable game. But with The Sims 2 I was totally into my boys.

So any suggestions for sites containing Sims 2 custom content would be very much appreciated. Also if at all possible free sites, because I hate stupid pay sites where I need to make a "donation" in order to get anything decent. That's one thing that always irked me about The Sims modding community.

Well after reinstalling The Sims 2 on my new computer along with all the expansions I have for it, which is like almost all of them except errr I think Bon Voyage, and like 2 or 3 of the Item disks. I've been scouring and thus far have filled up my Downloads folder with over 100 megs in a few hours time. Right now I'm just focusing on the boys, I'll get to the girls later, better genetics, housing stuff etc... etc... I did find some nice goth stuff, some gorgeous hairs, and pretty pre-made sims from a Japanese (I think) Sims site I stumbled upon. Still any help in my quest to get custom stuff back would be appreciated. I used to have like gigs of custom stuff. o_O

Anyway right now I think I should take a break and just play. Goood so many Sims to re-make, and houses too... By the way Nightlife was the best expansion evah!

Unfortunately I think you are going to have to wait a while, no doubt there will be numerous expansions for the Sims 3 already in development and I assume the modding community as a whole, are awaiting to see what EA are going to bring out next.

As time progresses I imagine more people will create more sophisticated editors to further modify the game. There were hundreds of thousands of mods available for the Sims and Sims 2 and it won't be long before the numbers start building for the third release.

I did find a Save game editor for the Sims 3 which could be useful...

Likewise I have all the expansions for Sims 2, and I have hundreds if not thousands of mods for it.

Oh cool thanks Sluggy! This will be handy in the future. I'm still sticking with good ol' Sims 2 for now, even if I am missing my gigs of stuff. But I'm up to 266megs now!
