BT one of the big telecommunications providers in the United Kingdom have had to block one very popular P2P website.

I think next year there is going to be big changes in the legislation concerning illegal file sharing.

Well the new law is in effect in NZ, three days in and our VPN's seem to be working well. Stupid government, they really haven't changed anything just made it a little more inconvenient and forcing people to learn how to subvert them in order to use their net. with the law all it takes is watching the wrong youtube video or following the wrong link and an overseas company can send you a copyright infringement notice, if you get three of them your net can be shut off without warning. Now people are having to learn new and more advanced ways to hide their net usage just to make sure their net does not get shut down, even if they aren't downloading music and movies .
There is no such thing as a stupid question, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots.

Its really a pain in the arse over here, what we have in effect doesnt stop you from torrenting or anything like that, ive liked several TV shows on facebook and when they release there weekly 'see whats happening next week clip' i cant watch it due to (some legal message pops up that i cant remember). Still, at least its not the other way around!
