MTUI

Essential UI adjustments for Fallout 3: smaller fonts, larger item selection areas, improved conversation menus, etc. Designed for screen resolutions of 1024x768 and higher.

Installation

Extract the archive into your Fallout 3 folder (default C:/Program Files /Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3). Open FALLOUT.INI (default .../My Documents/My Games/Fallout3/FALLOUT.INI) with any text editor and change the value of bInvalidateOlderFiles from 0 to 1 (i.e., bInvalidateOlderFiles=1).

Additional Notes

If you wish to revert to the original black texture without uninstalling the mod, open .../Menus/dialog/dialog_menu MTUI/dialog_menu.xml with a text editor and replace
MTUI/background.dds
with
Interface/Shared/Background/solid_black.dds
If you wish to remove dialog menu backgrounds altogether, use the optional transparent texture instead:
MTUI/empty.dds
