03-MAR-2010: Updated to version 1.2. Fixes custom quiver not showing with special arrows. If you installed the quiver fix patch, you can delete the "quiver_fix.erf" file. Read the "Special Arrows" section for details. If you are upgrading from v1.0, be sure to read the "Upgrading" section before installation. v1.1 users don't have to do anything special.

Item Descriptions

The armor is not restricted to Leliana, but it only has a human female variant. I have no plans to add any other variants for other races/genders.

The Chanteuse and Aveline set pieces are intended as end-game items for Leliana. The stats were scaled to high-end items like The Felon's Coat, The Rose's Thorn, and Marjolaine's Recurve, as well as to make a helmet unnecessary. The Chanteuse and Aveline items all have tier 7 base stats and slightly reduced requirements for equipping.

The Orlesian items are basic armor/weapon variants with minimal bonus stats. They have tier 3 or tier 7 base stats, depending on your level/current item scaling. Bodahn has been given a couple of each of these basic items.

Weapons
- - -
Aveline's Grace: longbow, req. 29 dex

Aveline's Scorn: dagger (1H), req. 25 dex

Orlesian Dague: dagger (1H), tier 3 & tier 7
+1 dmg

Orlesian Arc: longbow, tier 3 & tier 7

Upgrading
===============

from v1.1 to v1.2: no special instructions

from v1.0 to v1.2:

Before upgrading, ensure that in your previous save:
* you haven't yet purchased the items from Bodahn; or
* the items are equipped on an ACTIVE party member; or
* the items are equipped on a party member and you are at the party camp; or
* the items are equipped on YOU; or
* the items are in your inventory (backpack); or
* any combination of the above (i.e. some items in inventory, some items equipped on an active party member, some items not yet purchased)

If you meet those conditions then you can install the new version and everything should happen automatically.

If you install the upgrade without meeting these conditions, any pre-existing items will not get their stats updated to the new versions. You will need to put these items "near" you (equipped on you/an active party member, or in your inventory) and then execute "runscript nez_sal upgrade" from the developer console, in order to update the existing items to the current stats.

===============
Installation
===============

Released as a standard .dazip file. Use daupdater.exe, DAModder, DAO-Modmanager, or your .dazip tool of choice to install this mod.

The new armor and weapons will automatically be added to Bodahn's store inventory (the party camp merchant) on your first trip back to the camp. The names to look for are "Aveline's [X]" for weapons and "Chanteuse [X]" for the armor. The weaker items are all titled "Orlesian [X]".

The very fist time you go to the party camp during the story and see the Archdemon cut-scene, Bodahn will not have any of these custom items. You must travel somewhere else (i.e. back to Lothering) and then back to the "normal" (non-cutscene) camp.

If for any reason the items do not show up on the merchant, or you want multiple copies, or you're just too cheap to buy the ones Bodahn has, you can run a console script command to have the items placed directly in your inventory. This option of course requires that you have enabled the Developer Console.

runscript nez_sal give <#>

Replace with one of set, genset, chest, genchest, boots, genboots, gloves, gengloves, bow, genbow, honor, scorn, or gendagger, to get the respective item. If you want more than 1 item, replace <#> with the number of items you want, otherwise just leave it out entirely.

===============
Known Issues
===============

- the quiver is always red, regardless of which tier bow you have

===============
Compatibility
===============

This mod listens to (but does not override) EVENT_TYPE_EQUIP using the Event Manager mod. It will conflict with other mods that hook this event that do NOT use the Event Manager.

===============
Special Arrows
===============

When you equip special arrows with the custom bow equipped, the arrows are converted into a duplicate arrow type with the correct quiver. The icon changes slightly to indicate this. These duplicate types will not stack with their regular special arrow counterparts, but they can be converted back by simply re-equipping the arrows to a ranged slot when you do not have the custom bow equipped.

If you have special arrows equipped already, and then equip the custom bow, the arrows will not change and will continue to show the non-custom quiver. You must re-equip the special arrows while the bow is equipped to update them to the custom quiver.

You are free to re-use this stuff in pretty much any manner you please, provided you make brief mention of me as the original author or else link back to this project page somewhere in your documentation.

Parts of these textures are derived from pre-existing DA:O textures. The gloves are little more than a straight re-coloring of one of the existing light glove textures, the breast-plate is a heavily modified form of the leather studded armor, and the belt is a straight re-color of the belt on some leather armor. The rest is mostly original.
