Keep your KOTOR MMO I'm sold on SWG!

I know, I know I said I swore off MMO's. Let me amend that statement right now. I swear off WoW and any MMO that is WoW knock off! Having recently played and beaten Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the X-Box 360 twice! Once on normal where I got the evil ending, and once on Sith Lord err I think that was it, basically the very hard setting. Anyway getting the good ending the second time. It kind of got me into Star Wars games again. I later went on to play Jedi Academy again for the first time in years, which reminded me of my love for Twi'leks. Then I played some of KOTOR 2, but not much...
So yeah Force Unleashed tapped on some "Star Wars Lightsabers are cool" part of my brain. So I thought about it. Right now I'm legally handicapped, I'm having trouble walking as I mentioned I think. I walk with a cane now. My life has been turned upside down since I got sick and I have to wait until all my documentation goes through until I can really treat the illness. SSI/Medicaid etc... So I'm pretty much going to be stuck with nothing much to do but game for a while. Oblivion and I are having a bit of an argument as I have mentioned several times. All my mods are gone because Oblivion had to go all psycho on me... I guess it didn't like me uninstalling it registry style.
Now with all that said I thought, hrmmm why not try Star Wars Galaxies? I wasn't going to buy the game of course oh no! It's an MMO after all. Instead I decided to give the free-trial a try. So it took forever to download, but once it did I fired up SWG and was introduced to the character creation menu. Nice! Very detailed. Customization in my book always wins points. So I played around with the sliders skin tones, make up, and all that Jazz settling of course on a Twi'lek. Then I was thrust into the tutorial missions. They were boring and the controls are much more sluggish compared to WoW's. However once I arrived at Mos Eisley spaceport on Tatooine my eyes widened with awe!
Player created billboards showcasing their proffessions. Need an entertainment troop contact so and so on Naboo. Need fine clothes contact so and so on, need guns contact... These were all actual players! As I wandered around this huge and vast world I found player owned shops, player owned houses, even player created cities! The level of customization and uniqueness of all the classes really blew me away. The game is huge! With so many things to offer, especially in terms of customization. The player base as I observed on a few servers is a bit more mature than typical WoWtards, and the RPG seems to exist in this MMO"RPG."
After playing the trial for a while I met someone who has been with this game for the full run. Since this game was back in beta, I made friends with him and he gave a bunch of credits and clothes to play around with. He showed me some of the in's and out's of the game. He also told me he had like loads of characters of each proffession on several servers. I mentioned I wanted to play on specific server because it was known to be a huge roleplaying hotspot and was really into custom clothing. He was like, "Cool! I have a master tailor there, along with a few other characters. I can set you up."
I'm sold on the game. It's set to come today according to Amazon. IT BETTER! I want to play and it seems like I'll have a really experienced player helping me level and getting me all kinds of neat stuff!
This game just has this feel to it that WoW can't hope to copy. It's immerisve, very immerisve due to the fact almost everything is manufactured and run by the players. I'm really looking forward to SWG.
But that begs the question. There's loads of hype about the KOTOR MMO but all we've seen really is a cutscene. Will it have the immerive feel of SWG? Or will it be a game made to try to one up WoW therefore being yet another gear grind mess to appeal to the masses? Who knows but I do have a feeling with the market being the way it is with MMO's due to WoW that it may be WoW with lightsabers. Maybe I'll be wrong we'll see but for now I'm totally sold on SWG.
It's very laid back, immersive, and just FUN! Where as WoW was very demanding, linear, and more like a chore...

Recently I was going to install Kotor 2, I had just seen Revenge of the Sith on TV and felt like playing a star wars game.
I set about looking for mods and couldn't find anything which would really expand the game, having completed it already I was looking for a new angle on the game.
After concluding Kotor wouldnt satisfy me I thought about trying Jedi Academy but changed my mind.
I guess I'm looking for a fresh Star Wars game, Force Unleashed looks awesome but I'm not sure if it will run on my computer. I've read some disapointing reviews for it too.
SWG sounds really good, from your description I imagine I would like it a lot! I find online games very addictive and I lose all connection with real life. I fear I would like SWG too much if I played it.

Please remember to comment, it helps to encourage modders with their work.
