I remember unpacking Oblivion and putting it excitingly into my ROM drive cause I could finally create my own character only to realize that that is not possible, lol. My wife said "that character is ugly, it's not you!", :Headbash:
So yes, my 1st mod was the Eyecandy mod which definitely improved my gaming experience. After installing than one, I realized that Oblivion had incredible modding capabilities and dled more and more mods untill had my current 300. But even that isn't enough, I'm creating my own now^^.

You have 300 mods installed for Oblivion, wow! I've got around 40 but I find I'm still having the odd CTD. I checked my mod order a while ago but I think there is still something wrong with them.
Do you find your game is stable with that many mods installed?

Oh my, I can tell you stories of CTDs and freezes you don't want to hear.
Stability is of course the most important thing. I guess I will also create a thread about it sooner or later(maybe this weekend if noone is faster than me). But to give you some info already, you need to check which mods you use together. Sometimes it's better to pass on big mods which might enhance your stability. Minor mods like body, items and equipment mods usually go together quite well. Larger mods, which add much content to the Tamriel Worldspace(or the ICMarket Place which is the slowdown king imo) change the AI or add many scripts should be added with caution. Those are very load order sensitive and may cause random CTDs which I still have of course, but I was able to reduce them to an acceptable amount(1 every 2-3 hours). Streamline is your best friend when using so many mods, the auto "streamsave" ability every 15 minutes is very helpful^^.

Would it be ok to post my mod order, I've read some guides but I'm still getting crashes using an old character.
I'm starting to wonder if the saved game is corrupt and have tried cleaning the bloat out with Wrye Bash.
Since updating my Nvidia drivers I'm often getting lock ups and am thinking about going back. Before the crashes would old CTD.
A guide on this would be really good. My friend hoola has taken the time to OMOD all of his files, he said the game is fine for him.
Would you recommend the Unofficial Oblivion patch?

Absolutely. But you should install UOP before anything else. For simple load order management, I recommend the tool B.O.S.S.. It arranges your load order sensitive mods, you just need to reorder DR and your minor mods as well as some comp.patches.
