Grenade Hotkey
==========================
Conflicts and known issues
--------------------------
- Conflicts with mods with dirty edits that mess up the Chicken and egg script. Just make sure you load this near the bottom if this happens.
Changelog
--------------------------
1.00 - initial
1.01 - forgot to enable NVSE checking /brainfart
1.02 - still nvse fixing (..)
1.03 - update to 1.2.0.314, native support for Gopher's Primary Needs HUD, small fixes and - maybe - faster equipping.
1.10 - Customizable grenade lists, melee weapon hotkey.
1.11 - Script improvements, perk fixes (?), some controlling improvements, nuka grenades, general formlist optimizations.
1.20 - Fomod installer, built in hud mod and compatibility installer, customizable install, weapon-swap key, minor script fix. Melee weapon icons.
1.21 - Fixed melee icons not showing on startup, simplified installer and bundled hud merger with it.
Requirements
--------------------------
New Vegas Script Extender - NVSE
Description
--------------------------
Haven't seen a similar port here yet, so made my own version. Allows you to use grenades with hotkeys.
Default settings are:
'g' - throw grenade (tap, or press and hold)
'h' - swap grenade types (tap)
'h' - menu system (press and hold)
'c' - melee attack (press and hold)
'x' - melee weapon swap
By default you get a simple notification message when swapping grenades, which is replaced by the optional HUD icons if you enable the UI with the included HUD Merger.
Customizing Grenade Lists
--------------------------
You can add custom grenades from 3rd party mods with the following steps:
1) Equip the grenade you wish to add.
2.a) Still in your pip-boy inventory screen, just tap the grenade hotkey.
2.b) Open the menu system and navigate to adding it to the list.
If adding a custom grenade to the list, it will not only be usable by the hotkeys, but will also be properly added to any grenade-related lists, like perks, even if the original author missed those.
Melee Hotkey
--------------------------
In addition to a grenade hotkey, you also have a hotkey for a melee weapon. By default, the first melee weapon in your inventory will be selected, which you can change as follows:
1) Equip the melee weapon you wish to assign for the hotkey.
2.a) Still in your pip-boy inventory screen, just tap the melee weapon hotkey.
2.b) Open the menu system and navigate to the melee settings, then add.
Nuka-Grenades - Optional
--------------------------
You can craft nuka-grenades without schematics, but requires a significant Explosives skill. Recipe and damage is equivalent to the Fallout 3 version (abraxo cleaner, tin-can, quantum, turpentine)
With the above recipe, you get
1 Nuka-Grenade, default recipe, requires 50 Explosives skill
2 Nuka-Grenades, if Explosive is greater than or equal to 70 and less than 90
3 Nuka-Grenades, if Explosive is greater than or equal to 90
You can create Nuka Cola Quantums with the following recipes
10 Nuka-Colas, 30 Science skill = 1 Nuka Cola Quantum
3 Nuka-Colas, Nuka Chemist Perk = 1 Nuka Cola Quantum
Installation
==========================
1) Unzip and use fomm's package manager to install the fomod.
2) To enable the related HUD elements, use the provided HUD merger tool or download the Unified HUD projetc.
Uninstall
==========================
1) First disable the hud element. Open up HUD merger, untick Grenade Hotkey and click save.
2) Open fomm/package manager and disable the fomod.
