A game I made...
by Evandar » March 18th, 2009, 2:32 pm
Here is a game I made a sometime in 2008 (september I think) in Blender. I call it Maze 1.0

Here is the ReadMe in english (the one you get when you install the game is in swedish):
The license agreement you have to accept isn't really anything important, but in case you want to know what it means, here is a translation:
Also, the three options you get when the installation is complete are:
The rest of the installation is in english. If you played my horrible game, what did you think?

Here is the ReadMe in english (the one you get when you install the game is in swedish):
**********************************************
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
**********************************************
I'm not sure about this, but you don't need a strong computer, that's for sure. I have tested this on a old computer with Windows XP. I'm not sure I remember correctly, but I think it had 256 MB RAM, a 64 MB graphics card, and a 1,5 GHz processor. So it should probably work on almost anything.
*****************************
WHAT IS THIS GAME?
*****************************
This is a very simple game in which you are a little red cone that runs around in mazes.
In each level you must find the door that leads to the next level.
There's only two levels though.
****************
CONTROLS
****************
You control the cone with the arrow keys.
Up arrow = Forward.
Down arrow = Brake/Backwards.
Right arrow = Turn to the right.
Left arrow = Turn to the left.
You exit the game by pressing the 'Esc' button.
*************************
*************************
Have fun! :)
The license agreement you have to accept isn't really anything important, but in case you want to know what it means, here is a translation:
You like this game. Right?
If you do not like it you can not install it. And now it is complicated, because you have not played it. Then you do not know if you really like it.
So ... you just have to guess!
Also, the three options you get when the installation is complete are:
1. Read the ReadMe file.
2. Start Maze 1.0
3. Go to http://www.saganomperarne.webbland.se/ (The website does not exist longer though.)
The rest of the installation is in english. If you played my horrible game, what did you think?

Zap Zap starting game... Ready to play.
Yeah I liked it, it kind of reminded me of the electric current game.
It exhibits some very good uses of gravity and inertia, its fast and ran on my Linux system so I was very happy :)
The split screen feature sounded cool although I appreciate that it can make things more difficult.
It reminded me of the games I used to play on the Commodore Amiga and felt there could have been some background MIDI music.
Other than that a great game. A timer would make it more intense but some players may be put off with a designated period to complete the maze.
Keep up the good work Evandar!
