Fallout NV any ideas?

Re: Fallout NV any ideas?
I have a pretty decent computer but its a laptop video card which ain't that great. I've tried a handful of performance improvement mods and the only one I found that I could tell worked for me was this one:
New Vegas Stutter Remover
Find it on Nexus or maybe elsewhere.
The thing that I found most correlated to the game crashing was a sudden surge in lag, the stop-go feeling, a.k.a. stutter. This mod doesn't make my game run faster but it makes it run smoother, and it is more stable I have far fewer crashes.
A couple of other tips about New Vegas and crashing:
- Never use quicksave or autosave. Only restart a game from a full save. It's known that quick/auto save can cause savegame corruption.
- If you start to get a sudden surge of bad lag, stop running/walking. Do a full save.
- If things are not rendering right (surfaces look like mud) do a full save and reload that savegame it clears that mud up.
- If when you are trying to load a game the spinner spins endlessly and the game won't ever load, just try loading a different save, then immediately reload the one you wanted. Happens regularly and that tactic usually fixes it. Probably some glitch in the game cache mechanism or something.
