for DALLs - Knight Templar

v1.1

24/07/2010

Knight Templar is full set of enchanted Templar arms and armor. There are two versions one with new / improved Templar armor / shield textures and one without any textures. If you do not want any visual changes in your game use No textures version. My armor textures are somewhat darker then game ones and as this mod uses standard game textures all templar armors and some massive boots / gloves will be affected / changed to this new - improved look. Same goes for all metal kite shields if you install them.

What you are getting in this mod:

Commander's Armor (Chest) 1x
Commander's Gauntlets (Gloves) 1x
Commander's Greaves (Boots) 1x
Commander's Helmets 2x
Commander's Kite Shield 1x
Great Sword (2H) 1x
Long Sword (1H) 1x
Templar Amulet 1x
Templar Rings 2x
Collar for Templar's Mabari 1x
Kaddis for Templar's Mabari 1x

Only few of these items have restrictions / are restricted to Templars only. Collar / Kaddis are for Mabari hounds only.

To install you will have to use some of DAO Mod managers or game DAUpdater. Mod is saved in .dazip format which if need be can be opened with Winzip as well. Point your mod installer of choice to file / version of DallsGearTwo you want to install and let it do magic. Do not forget to check DallsGearTwo in your Game Downloadable Content.

Bugs / problems: None known to me but add items script used have one not so obvious shortcoming it will work fine with all your existing characters but if you create new character after this mod installation add / mod items will not be loaded to this new character inventory!

But don't fret about it as work around this problem is quite simple and completely painless. Before you start to create new character remember to turn OFF my mod in Game Downloadable Content. This is very important! After that go and create your new character as usually > make save > exit game and turn ON my mod > load last save and all mod items will be there in your inventory. If you forget to make this step know that your new character will not receive anything and nothing can be done latter to change that.

These items can be used / work well with Awakening Expansion Pack but to get them there you'll need first to get them into Origins (Main Game). Once you have items and character ready to import into Awakening do following: strip the whole lot into your inventory and make clean save. Use same (save) as source for Awakening character creation / import. Same principle applies to all you might want to have at beginning of Awakening like ammo, money, runes, potions etc.

Note on Alt Shields: Templar coat of arms - alternative to one used in game. Install / copy-paste my (mod) Dragon Age folder into your Documents BiowareDragon Age folder. Allow overwrite.

Use:

Free to use but if resources included are used due credit is expected.

Enjoy! ;)

Special thanks and kudos to weriKK's and his add items script which made this mod possible and big thanks to BioWare for really great game.
