Updates

-added alternative esp due to many requests for the cloaks to be unique to the player character. Shouldn't be any NPCs wearing cloaks if you use that version, but let me know if any appear!
-added optional file to remove pixelation on the female cloaks.
version 0.3
-Fixed overall file structure. Now shouldn't clash with the Sage Outfit mod especially.
-Added recipe; Stormcloak Blue now craftable.
-Temporary fix for world/inventory models

Description

Firstly, massive credit to Backsteppo and Zenl for the original cloak meshes used in this mod, and for giving me permission to make use of them - I'm just the bod who wanted to add them to levelled lists and whatnot!

Adds cloaks of various lore-friendly colours (6 shades so far) to Skyrim, via levelled lists and crafting. This is a work in progress, and I'll be looking to tweak it more in the future, and hopefully get my Wanderer's Robes mod merged with it. The aim of all this is to add more variety and flavour to the world, as well as the chance to wear a stylish cape and keep the cold out!

I'm still new to this modding lark, so please let me when and if you come across any problems - I'm bound to have missed something!

Future plans include tweaking of the meshes so the female version seen can be worn by males, and vice versa (when I'm a lot more comfortable with Blender!). Also the long-winded task of getting cloaks onto guards (with colours matching their Hold), and adding cloaks to various named NPCs - this is more of a long-term project, as I'd quite like each cloak to be relevant to the one who is wearing it; impressive-looking cloaks for Jarls, for example. And on top of that, obviously trying to iron out and fix any other problems that arise. Feedback always welcome!

Location

The cloaks can be found all around Skyrim, being worn by various NPCs and factions. In addition, all cloaks can be crafted at a forge from the Leather category, requiring Linen Wraps. They are fully enchantable. You may even stumble across rare, already-enchanted versions of the cloaks when encountering boss-type NPCs.

The cloaks also occupy an unused slot, so can be worn without replacing an amulet, etc.

Installation

Requires official Skyrim patch 1.4.27 or greater. Using this mod on earlier versions of the game will result in a crash at the main menu.

1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.
3. Copy files to Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data

Uninstall

Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

Known Issues or Bugs

Currently the male and female versions use different meshes due to clipping and size problems. Hoping to eventually make both versions available to both genders. There's no specific world/inventory models. Some clipping issues. Please let me know of any issues you run into, so I can attempt to fix 'em.

Credits

Thanks and huge credit to Backsteppo and Zenl for creating the excellent cloak/cape meshes used here and allowing me add them to the levelled lists in a separate mod.
Thanks to Bethesda for creating Skyrim.

Licensing/Legal

You'll probably want to let Backsteppo and Zenl know first if you are keen on using their meshes for anything.
