Civilization 5 E3 Trailer

In February we highlighted the fact that a new Civilization game was in the works.

Recently 2K released the trailer for their upcoming title, Civilization 5.

Civilization is one of the most acclaimed turn based PC gaming franchise and there is no one denying it. Civilization V looks like it's changing just about every mechanic from previous Civ games, and it's probably heading in the right direction. Most notable changes seem to be the evolved AI, new City-states, improved military units among other things.

In Civilization, players strive to become Ruler of the World by establishing and leading a civilization from the dawn of man into the space age waging war, conducting diplomacy, discovering technologies, going head-to-head with some of history's greatest leaders, and building the most powerful empire the world has ever known.

Civilization V is out today in the US, and the demo is already up on Steam and ready to play. It limits you to one small map, with 6 civilisations and 12 city states: small factions who can’t expand, but can be useful allies or victims. Three leaders to choose from, and all eight difficulty modes available. Combine this with our Civilization V review, and you should have all the appetite whetting you need. For those of us in the UK, we have two more days to wait until the full game launches. Because the world would end if a game came out on a Tuesday here.

My pre-ordered copy got delivered today.
But I still can't install the game until it's official release -- Steam locked
