Borderlands Sound Schemes & Mp3 Sound Files

Borderlands Sound Schemes.
I used to use a program Sound packager but since my new hard drive, I haven't put many of the programs back on yet. You can make sound schemes just by replacing files. I made 3 Fallout 3 sound schemes and uploaded them to a site, then got picked up my another site so my sound packages are a lot of fun. My sound packager files are here, Mr Burke is on this page: http://www.wincustomize.com/explore/sou ... es#/page/3 And Super Mutant and Colin Moriarty are on this page: http://www.wincustomize.com/explore/sou ... es#/page/2
This is my Sound Scheme section at my place:
http://ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?board=35.0
If you like any of the Fallout files, they have the files needed to simply reset your default sound files without having to use the sound packager program.
Today I finally figured out how to extract the Ogg Vorbis files from the Borderlands upk files and get the sounds. I have everything, characters, DLC's, music, weapons, I have them all, but it will take time getting them changed from ogg vorbis to wav. I truly have thousands of files to go through, a project I was happy to start on my first day home and enjoying my unemployment.
Here is a copy and paste from my forum:
This is my personal sound scheme I'm using. I love listening to Roland breathe. Here is the read me:
This is a sound scheme for Windows. The files are already named to the sound they are to replace. Just extract the files to your C drive Windows\Media and then go to your Start\Settings\Control Panel or if you don't have XP, just go to your control panel and look for Sounds and Audio Devices. Open that and look for the tab that says something like Sounds. The correct tab should have a window and you'll see the names of the functions in that window, mine started with Windows then asterik. You'll click on Asterik and the Browse button at the bottom of the window will become active. Click on Browse and navigate to your C drive Windows\Media location and you'll see the wav file BreathingAsterik. Select that and continue down the list. When you've replaced the default sounds with the new ones, click Apply, then OK and if you want to save them for future use, at the top, you should see a pull down menu. Under it is a Save As button, Save As the name of the sound scheme you want (I call mine Breathing) and click Yes and you're all done!
These are the files replaced:
Asterik
Blocked Pop Up Window
Critical Battery Alarm
Critical Stop
Default Beep
Device Connect
Device Disconnect
Empty Recycle Bin
Exit Windows
Feed Discovered
Information Bar
Low Battery Alarm
New Mail Notification
Program Error
Question
Start Navigation
Start Windows
System Notification
Windows Logoff
Windows Logon
Mind you these sounds are very, very short and quiet. If you like a sound scheme that is quiet and unintrusive, this is perfect. It is just the sounds of Roland's breathing from the Borderlands game.

Roland Fun Quotes
http://ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php ... attach=465
Ok this is a really fun theme with Roland's favorites such as nailed it, uppin' the kill count, critical hit, critical bitch, etc. It has no music but very short Windows Exit and Start sounds so it won't slow down either of these processes. I love this theme and am currently using it! Read me is included. These are the files replaced:
Asterik
Blocked Pop Up Window
Critical Battery Alarm
Critical Stop
Default Beep
Device Connect
Device Disconnect
Device Failed to Connect
Empty Recycle Bin
Exclamation
Exit Windows
Information Bar
Low Battery Alarm
New Mail Notification
Program Error
Question
Start Windows
System Notification
Windows Logoff
Windows Logon
All files are named Roland1Asterik, Roland1BlockedPopUpWindow, Roland1CriticalBatteryAlarm... you get the idea. Simple extract the sound files to your C drive Window\Media and go to your Sounds and Audio Devices (not sure where that is on Vista or Windows 7, it's in the Control Panel in XP) and click on the Sounds tab and scroll down and replace the default sounds with the new Roland1 sounds. Have fun, I sure am!

Mp3 Sound files
Brick
http://ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php ... attach=462
Quest1, files not used in actual game, possibly leftover sound files from devs.
http://www.ladymoiraine.com/downloads/S ... estMp3.zip
Krom
Oliver Tull is the voice actor for both Roland and Krom. Krom is often difficult to hear because of the gattling gun he uses. And if you're playing with Roland, they sound very much the same. Since I am a hardcore fan or Roland, I felt it fitting to add Krom. Besides, he's so funny! On a sidenote, the actor Oliver Tull is a stand up comedian when he's not acting.

I named it Lilith1 in case I come across more files from her so I can make another one. But I'm happy with this one, there is a read me and it's just a zip file. The sound packager will come later.
