Assault Coop LAN gives truth to the meaning Assault and Coop. The game mode is set to the well known gamemode ASSAULT. Instead of capturing the flag against human players, you can play against over 200 AI controlled mercs COOP style! So grab your friends and have an awesome LAN party!
Requirements:
-should have at least recommended requirements for farcry to play this mod
-1.1 patch
-Far Cry ( free version works also I believe)
-Assault Coop LAN
-Friends to play with
Features:
-coop against an army of AI mercs!
-weapon drop in assault coop mode
-extra textured merc model pack included
-new entity triggers
-smooth coop gameplay
-death notification
-4 maps
-AI difficulty control
-AI and player counter
-4 flags instead of 3 for each provided map
Installation:
-put "ASSAULT_COOP_LAN" folder into your mods folder
Things to know:
-you have the server or host first scan through the map to activate the AI(or they wont move
when clients see them)
-on each of the provided maps the respawn for vehicles was disabled. They are to godly if
continously used
-ac_airstrip has 200 mercs
-ac_dam has 230 mercs
-ac_dune has 292 mercs
-ac_jungle has 118 mercs
-name the gamemode "COOP" if you wish to make a map for this mod
-use explosives to destroy the barriers around the flags
Known bugs:
-you can only play on LAN
-the next map on mapchange is laggy if there are AI on it
-maps on dedicated servers sometimes dont have the AI responding to the clients
-server or host has to see the AI at least once so that they'll activate and move
-sometimes AI can kill you like nothing but sometimes they are completely stupid
-restarting the map causes problems for the AI
