New from Vault-Tec, Amplified Crippled Effects, or ACE, works towards making crippling limbs a very viable thing to do in combat.

Cripple an enemies legs, and they slow to a crawl. Cripple the arms, and their aim goes way off. Cripple the head to reduce their aim by half blinding them. Cripple the torso, and their strength and endurance drop sharply, the enemy stumbles when you hit their already broken ribs and pound their guts.

Of course, this works the opposite way around. If you get a leg crippled, you will soon find yourself limping through the wasteland and with your head crippled you will find it hard to see.

Releases with a version number followed by a "b" (IE 1.0b) are untested. To the best of my condition they work as intended, but that is no sure thing.

Please tell me if you noticed anything not right in a beta or a release version. Do this via PM or via the comments page, I regularly read them.

Problems with the .esp will be solved only if you tell me. Please comment if you have a problem or suggestion. I'm happy to change this to fit the majority of users needs.

I heartily endorse Triage, a mod changing the methods of healing crippled limbs. It's a great companion to this. Get Triage here.

**********Changing your choice:**********

READ ALL OF THIS SECTION BEFORE STARTING TO DO IT.

First, type in the console
Enter the Console and Type "player.dispel ACE*BODYPART*CrippleEffectSTRENGTH".
STRENGTH is the strength of the effects you had it set to. If you had Mild Effects, replace STRENGTH with "Mild". If you had Pain Incarnate Effects, replace STRENGTH with "Pain".
*BODYPART* is the bodypart effect. Replace this with "Head", then with "LeftArm", then "RightArm", "Torso", "RightLeg", "LeftLeg".

Once all this is done, you should be free of the current versions effects. If you want to change to another version now, then type "SetQuestDelay ACEMonitorQuest 5". This will cause the quest that activates the effects to run it's script again every five seconds. The menu to choose the effect strength should soon appear. Choose the strength you want, and this should be it!

**********Future Ideas:**********

Dismemberment before death. -THIS IS A LONG TERM GOAL-
Inability to move at all when both legs are crippled - squirming on floor, safe to move close enough to execution kill the enemy.

**********Installation:**********

Place the .esp in Fallout3/Data.

**********Upgrading from a Previous Version:**********

This should work fine. However, if you are experiencing both the previous versions effects and the current effects:

Enter the Console and Type "player.dispel ACEHeadCrippleEffect". Then hit enter. Repeat for "player.dispel ACELeftArmCrippleEffect", "player.dispel ACERightArmCrippleEffect", "player.dispel ACETorsoCrippleEffect".

**********Uninstall:**********

Delete the .esp

**********Version History:**********

0.1: Crippling legs vastly slows down enemies, and yourself. One leg crippled is 0.4 of original, two is 0.3.

0.11: The player character can take slightly more damage before being crippled, while enemies have had a health boost, to compensate.

0.20: Crippled Head now has an increased effect to perception, from 4 points of damage, to 6.

1.0b: Changed to a standard .esp. Please ignore all above changelog. Effects are:

Cripppling one leg reduces speed down to 40% of standard. Two legs reduces speed down to 32%.
A crippled torso gives a 95% chance to cause a stumble.
A crippled torso also causes -5 to Endurance, and reduces max carry weight by 40.
A crippled head causes -8 to Perception, and -4 to Intelligence.
A crippled arm reduces the available action points by 20 and Agility by 3.

1.0: Same as version 1.0b, except now tested to be working.

1.1: A crippled arm causes Unarmed and Big Guns to lower by 25, Energy Weapons and Small Guns to lower by 15. A crippled head causes -20 to Small Guns, Big Guns and Energy Weapons.

1.2b: Adds BrainCondition damage, which causes enemies who are in a certain faction (ACEBrainConditionFaction) to have a chance of 10% frenzy if their head is crippled. Affected enemies include weaker Feral Ghouls, low rank Supermutants, Robobrains of all kinds, some dogs and Clover (well, she is a little insane already). No quest NPCs (save Clover) have been affected.

1.3: Bug Fixes and Optimisation.

2.0b: Untested version - Player can choose effect strength, crippled head now blurs vision.
